How Effect Joinery Ltd handles personal data on this website, in plain terms.
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Our enquiry form asks for your name, company, email address, phone number, project type, project location, a description of the project and, optionally, one attached file such as drawings or a bill of quantities. When you press "Send Enquiry" the form is submitted securely to Netlify, the company that hosts this website, which stores the submission and emails a copy (including a link to any attachment) to info@effectjoinery.co.uk. We use it only to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation. Submissions are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting project, after which they are deleted from the form store; email copies are retained in line with our normal business records. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time.
We don't sell, rent, or share your details with third parties for marketing. We use them only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to deliver a project you've instructed us on.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you've chosen to send us) or, where we go on to deliver a project for you, performance of a contract.
This website does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar service. If that changes in future, we'll update this page and add a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set, as UK law requires.
The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary ones — for example, a login session cookie if a member of our team signs into the website's content editor. These aren't set for, or visible to, ordinary visitors browsing the site.
Google Fonts — this site loads typefaces directly from Google's servers, which means your device's IP address is sent to Google when a page loads. Google's own privacy policy applies to that transfer: policies.google.com/privacy.
Netlify — our website hosting provider. Netlify processes standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) as part of delivering the site to you and keeping it secure. See netlify.com/privacy.
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to: confirm what personal data we hold about you; correct it if it's wrong; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; or provide it to you in a portable format. Email info@effectjoinery.co.uk to make any of these requests.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
